Materials, energy and water account for a significant share of operational costs of doing business. Price fluctuations cut into profit margins and any supply disruption can force business into a stand-still. Managing with using less resources, using them longer and recovering them for repeat use is the core of the Circular Economy (CE) value proposition for business.

This Circular Economy Starter was developed as part of the technical support provided to the ASEAN Circular Economy Business Alliance (ACEBA) by the EU Funded SWITCH-Asia Policy Support Component (PSC). It contributes to the Circular Economy Partnership between ACEBA and the East Asia Business Council (EABC). This starter is informed by the business engagements and documentation of Circular Economy practices of Southeast Asian businesses.
