Our Alliance

ACEBA is a responsibility initiative of and for businesses and industries in Southeast Asia. It unites organizations and enterprises committed to leading by example in adopting circular economy solutions tailored to the region's needs, and benefiting businesses, governments, and communities.

Country Leads

Country leads are business membership organizations operating in ASEAN member states. They represent ACEBA within their home countries, encourage national business participation, and lead national advocacy and support efforts.

ACEBA participants pledge to champion the circular economy through strategic actions. They promote circular economy principles in their business dealings, advocate to government and stakeholders, develop and implement circular solutions in their products and services, and communicate the impacts of their initiatives through transparent reporting.

The New Factory is a worker-owned fashion circularity lab founded by a group of garment workers and sustainable fashion organizers. Their mission is to reduce textile waste going into landfill, support a circular textile economy, and create green manufacturing jobs.

ACEBA is an initiative of ARAIBA Sdn Bhd, a purpose-driven, not-for-profit business organization registered in Malaysia which takes forward the initiatives of the former ASEAN CSR Network in promoting responsible, inclusive, resilient and sustainable enterprises in ASEAN. ACEBA is further developed and implemented in collaboration with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) and its set-up has been supported by the EU funded SWITCH-Asia Policy Support Component.

East Asia Business Council

The East Asia Business Council was established in 2003 on the recommendations of the East Asia Study Group, endorsed by ASEAN+3 Leaders. Its creation gave EABC an official mandate to represent the private sector in advancing regional integration and cooperation. The Council is composed of senior business leaders from ASEAN, China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.

EU SWITCH-Asia

The SWITCH-Asia Programme facilitates cooperation, strengthens networking, and builds a platform for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) learning, policymaking, and programming in the region. It supports the public and private sectors in addressing the triple planetary crises, and meeting international commitments, including the SDGs and the Paris Agreement.
